Intro: 90 Days of Positivity

Social media has become a platform in which to launch our anger, frustration, ridicule, and complaints. 😲

So much of what I see coming through my feed is disappointing; it is not encouraging. It is not even enlightening, in most cases. So much criticism, frustration, and anger. A great deal of it simply tempts me to join in and add my two cents. I do not believe this is the intent of social media and I refuse to give in to the epidermis that is infecting our world-wide-web. 😝

Yes! There is a lot of YUCK in this world. There is far too much sorrow and injustice and unrest that affects so many lives ... everyone's lives. Most things, whether we choose to believe it or not, are not in our control and it is the truth of our lack of control that often propels us to think things and say things and do things ... that only add to the turmoil we wish wasn't there.

We who proclaim Christianity are held to a standard. We are meant to be a πŸ’‘lightπŸ’‘ in the darkness. We're never going to achieve perfection this side of heaven but we can surely do better than this! And for those who do not trust in Salvation by Faith in Jesus ... you're not off the hook. As human beings, we have the ability to reach within ourselves and tap into the part of us that was meant for building, encouraging, and reaching out to others. No one is incapable of seeing the good that is available to all of us in this world.

So instead of tossing more pebbles onto the rock pile of despair that hinders our journey ...

... let's remove the negativity stones (one at a time) and create a pathway of positivity.

Sound cheesy? πŸ§€ Maybe!!

But, I challenge you ... any of you reading this ... to join me, starting on June 1, in #combattingforacause :
#90daysofPositivity

- What does being "Positive" mean to You?

- What makes you feel positive?

90 days a bit much for you? Try 30 days! C'mon - you can do it! We all can!!! 😁

Seek the positive.
Think positive.
Be positive.

And share ...

#shareallyourPositive on your social media applications and refrain from spreading anything negative.

Think before you post/Pause before you share! If what you're about to share with the entire world may stir up dissension, cause someone to stumble, reply in retaliation, ...probably, instead ... Just keep it to yourself. Do NOT click POST.

And for any smarty-pants out there who think that sharing positive and encouraging statements is justification to stir up dissension, cause someone to stumble, or reply in retaliation, ... my best advice for you is to Unfriend or Unfollow Me Now because I intend to blast my feeds with all things POSITIVE.

I'd love for you to join me and to have as many people possible promoting the positive, however, I do not base the success of this challenge on anyone's participation but my own.

(**Cue all the subliminal, invisible, intentional, and spiritual attacks ... No matter; I will prevail!)

The Tea Cup Story

There was a couple that used to go to England to shop in the beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery, especially teacups. This was their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. One day in a beautiful shop they saw an exquisite teacup. They asked the clerk, “May we see that? we’ve never seen one quite so lovely.” As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke. “you don’t understand,” it said. “I haven’t always been a teacup. There was a time when I was red, and I was clay. My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over, and I yelled out, ‘let me alone,’ but, he only smiled and said, ‘Not yet.’ Then I was placed on a spinning wheel and suddenly spun around, and around, and around. Stop it! I’m getting dizzy!’ I screamed. “But the master only nodded and said, ‘Not yet’. then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening, and I could r...

The Elephant and the Hummingbird

One day an elephant saw a hummingbird lying on its back with its tiny feet up in the air. “What are you doing?” asked the elephant. The hummingbird replied, “I heard that the sky might fall today, and so I am ready to help hold it up, should it fall.” The elephant laughed cruelly. “Do you really think,” he said, “that those tiny feet could help hold up the sky?” The hummingbird kept his feet up in the air, intent on his purpose as he replied, “Not alone. But each must do what he can. And this is what I can do.” Source: Chinese Parable #threepositivesfromtoday 1. All helped to weed the garden and it is looking to be full of hope. πŸŒΏπŸ“πŸ₯’  2.
